What is a Green Dot?
A "green dot" is someone who is experiencing an emotional emergency.
That may be because someone consumed a substance that has put them in an altered and agitated state.
That may be because someone has not slept in 3 days, has eaten nothing but sour gummy worms for days, and has drank a total of a half a cup of water and a sangria in that time. ...and then their partner took off with someone and hasn't been back in a day.
For whatever reason, this person is a green dot. While we will likely end up transferring them to the Zendo when they have a bed available, your interactions with them are going to have a major effect on shaping their experience.
We've include some skills training to help give you some ideas about ways you may be able to help them.
